FAQ
What does The Curious Tinker make?
Practical small-batch goods for everyday use, workshop organization, carrying and keeping things, and Faire-oriented accessories.
Where are the products made?
The Curious Tinker products are developed and made in our own U.S. workshop, with materials and hardware sourced from a range of suppliers.
How much is shipping?
Standard U.S. shipping is $5 for normal orders. If we combine multiple unshipped orders going to the same recipient and address, we may refund duplicate shipping charges; unusually large or heavy products will clearly say otherwise.
Do you accept returns?
We handle returns directly through customer service rather than through an automated return portal. Contact us first so we can understand the issue and authorize the right solution.
Are handmade items identical?
No. Natural materials and small-batch processes create modest differences in grain, tone, edge character, and finish. Those variations should not affect intended function.
Can I suggest a product?
Yes. The Curious Tinker is built around noticing annoying little problems. See Follow the Build for current prototypes and experiments, or contact us with an idea.
Do you take custom work?
Sometimes. Contact us with the practical problem, dimensions, quantity, and timing. We would rather say no clearly than promise work we cannot deliver well.
